What Are You Rushing Back To?- A Poem

What Are You Rushing Back To?

What part of normal are you
rushing back to?
Are you rushing make just to
make money? Are you rushing
back because you are tried of
being at home? We are asking
these questions but these
questions are not what we should
be asking at all.

Use this time to think about
what is more important to
rush back to and why.
It is more important to go
get your nails done? Is it more
important to go eat out? Is it
more important to get you hair
cut? Are those things more normal
to you?

They might have been normal
to you before this whole virus
started. But have you consider
these things while you were
made to stay home? Are they
still really that important to
you or have your thoughts
change since you have been
home? Are there other things
that you wish you could make
normal again?

Things like spending time
with family members. Eating
around the dinner table.
Having hobbies like painting
or reading. Spending more
time with God. Teaching your
children the more important
things in life like God, cooking,
crafts, and simple things like that.

Teaching them that it is okay
not to have all those store brought
things to keep busy. They could
go outside and play some. Know
that anyone could be gone at
anytime so say "I love you"
when you think about it and more.

Again I ask the question, "What
are you rushing back to?" Is it
things that you are barely getting
by with or is it things that will
matter in the future? That your
kids and you could look back on
and laugh and smile about it.

Are you returning to the normal
normal or are you returning to
your new normal? The new normal
you have learned about through
all of this time. God is doing
something. We just have to let
Him have control.
